Jane A. Mahlmann, 92, of long time resident of Kenyon, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Heritage Manor, Edina, Minnesota Jane was born October 29, 1917 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of Fredrick and Esther Neuman (Eigenbrodt) Mahlmann. After graduating from Kenyon High School she graduated from the University of Minnesota, Mankato receiving her Bachelor's of Science Degree and later her Masters. Jane loved music and sang in the college choir and also sang in her church choir, high school choir and trio. She also played in the high school band as well as the municipal band in Kenyon. Jane taught school until her retirement in 1977. Most of these years were in Rosemount, Minnesota. She then enjoyed most of her time in Kenyon gardening, playing golf, reading, spending time with her relatives and having coffee with her friends. Jane was a member of the Kenyon United Methodist Church, the Kenyon Historical Society and the Kenyon Country Club. She is survived by a niece Nancy (and Charles) Eichholz of Lake Vermilion, Tower, MN; great niece, Dee Forsberg of St. Louis Park; two great nephews, Jeff Rosati of Duluth; Gary (and Rhonda) Forsberg of St. Joseph, MO; two great, great nieces Lauren Forsberg and Danielle Voss; a great, great nephew Michael Forsberg; and niece Barbara''s husband Dick (and MeriLou) Forsberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ruth Voxland, two infant brothers, a nephew, Gary Lillesve, and a niece, Barbara Forsberg. Visitation will be at United Methodist Church, Kenyon on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Memorial services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM at United Methodist Church, Kenyon with Reverend Dana Houck officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon. Memorials are preferred to the Kenyon United Methodist Church and the Kenyon Cemetery Fund.
