Jane Theresa Starks, 88, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Traditions II in Owatonna. Jane was born April 25, 1926 in Hutchinson, Minnesota the daughter of Frank and Ida (Boldt) Luedtke. Her family moved to Owatonna when she was a child and she graduated from Owatonna High School in 1944. Jane married Donald Starks on January 26, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church. They farmed in Clinton Falls Township where Jane was a farm wife and raised their four children. Jane was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, hardanger, and flower gardening. She was an avid aerobic exerciser for many years. Jane was active in DuCum Club, bowling league, Elks ladies cards, and a CONTACT volunteer. She enjoyed travelling and spending winters in Arizona. Jane loved her grandchildren and watching their activities. Jane is survived by her children, Terry (and Linda) Starks of Victoria, Dan (and Suzanne) Starks of Lake Elmo, Becky (and Keith) Johnson of Lake Mills, IA, and Doug (and Jodi) Starks of Owatonna; nine grandchildren, Alan (and Bobbi) Starks, Julie (and Nick) Hewitt, Brady (and Jessica) Johnson, Kacey (and Mike) Sutter, Jamie Starks (and Peter Hundt), Jodie Starks (and Ben Hanson), Dustin, Sam, and Jesse Starks; ten great grandchildren; nephew, Robert (and Diane) Luedtke of Duluth. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald (2012), and her brother, Karl. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
