Janet M. Andersen, 61, of Owatonna, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Friday, August 1, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 14, 1946 in St. Paul the daughter of Michael and Cecelia (Svetku) Kropelnicki. Janet graduated in 1965 from South St. Paul High School and later married Dale Andersen November 30, 1968. The couple lived in various towns before moving to St. Peter and later to Owatonna in 1997. Janet worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Owatonna Clinic for ten years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and baking. She took great joy in watching her grandson Taylor play hockey. Her husband Dale, three children Glenn Andersen of Inver Grove Heights, Gail Andersen of Rochester, and Gregory Andersen of Owatonna, and one grandson Taylor Andersen of Rochester survive Janet. Two brothers Michael and James Kropelnicki also survive her. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral service will be held Wednesday August 6, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Carlyle Welch M.D. officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday August 5, 2008 at Michaelson Funeral Home from 5-7 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Dania Cemetery. The family prefers memorials.
