Janice K. Utoft 70, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her home. She was born May 6, 1943 in Superior, Wisconsin the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Moe) Lundgren. Janice graduated from Lake Benton High School in 1961. She married Gary Utoft on November 24, 1962 in Tyler, MN, and the couple moved to the Minneapolis area for a few years before coming to Owatonna in 1965. Janice worked as a receptionist for Josten's, then as a travel agent at Degner Travel and later for Owatonna Travel Services. Janice partnered with friends and started Cedar Travel, which she was a partner from 1989-2007. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Foundation. She enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling, golfing, bowling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Gary Utoft of Owatonna, mother, Shirley Lundgren of Pipestone, three sons, Christopher (Staci Smith) Utoft of Owatonna, Timothy Utoft of Owatonna, and Jeffrey (Jenny Weisser) Utoft of Columbia Heights, two grandchildren Harrison and Natalie Utoft. She is also survived by her sister, Dawn (and Scott) Wilson of Pipestone; brothers, Bruce (Renay) Lundgren of Sioux Falls, and Dennis (Deanna) Lundgren of Elkton, SD, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Lundgren and two infant sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday July 7, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM . Funeral services will be held Monday July 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Julie Malone officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
