Jason J. Ost, 30, died Monday September 14, 2015 resulting from an automobile accident in Steele County. Jason was born October 15, 1984, to Jeff and Suzanne (Peterson) Ost. Jason lived in Owatonna all his life and worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, The Kernel, Famous Dave's, and Syngenta Seeds, as well as being a stay at home dad for most of his life. He loved to work on his car and help his friends with their cars. He was a kind, caring friend and would help anyone. He was married to Laura Buck and divorced. He has three wonderful children he left behind. Jason is survived by his parents, Jeff and Sue Ost of Owatonna, children, Austin, Maddy, and Percy; sister, Dana (Bill) Wood of Owatonna, maternal grandfather, John S. Peterson; paternal grandparents Don (Myrdene) Meyer all of Owatonna and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason is preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Esther Peterson, and paternal grandfather, Douglas Ost. Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M, as well as one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Michaelson Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
