Jean M. Dalen, 88, of Owatonna, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her home in Owatonna. Jean Marie Dalen was born April 5, 1926 in Sedro Woolley, Washington the daughter of Elmer and Anna Johnston Stark. She worked at the Owatonna Canning Company for 44 years until she retired in 1996. She enjoyed going to auctions, gardening, reading, crafting, shopping with her daughters and going to the Steele County Free Fair especially Steely and Stella. Above all else she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Norma (Duane) Shrupp, of Cleveland, Richard (Joanne) Dalen, of Owatonna, Russell Dalen, of Owatonna, Celeste Dalen Kempka, of Highland, CA., Robin (Rodney) Stoen, of Blooming Prairie, MN., 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and sisters, grandson, Troy and great-grandson, Aaron. Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home.
