Jean Elizabeth Kidder, 71, of Owatonna, died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her home. She was born June 24, 1950 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Ballstadt) Kidder. She grew up on a farm near Claremont and graduated from Claremont High School in 1968. Over the years, Jean worked at Jostens, the Eagle's Club, OTC, an art gallery in Bloomington and retired from South Country Health Alliance in 2019. She married Randy Schmoll in June, 1988 and the couple lived in Minnetonka and Prior Lake before moving to Maui, Hawaii where they operated a handyman business. They later divorced. Jean was an organized, neat and meticulous person. Everything had its place. She enjoyed spending time on the boat and outdoors in the sun, and daily read her Bible. She is survived by her siblings, Diane Erler of West Concord, Robert Kidder of Owatonna, David Kidder of Owatonna, Richard (Ernestine) Kidder of Plymouth, Brian Kidder of Maui, HI and Kevin (Julie) Kidder of Rochester; sister-in-law, Pamela Kidder of Owatonna; brother-in-law, Dale Fisher of Owatonna and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth; siblings, Frank A. Kidder, Debbie O'Regan, Kim Fisher and Michael Kidder; brother-in-law, Lloyd Erler and sister-in-law, Lorna Kidder.
