Jeanette Louise Grobner, 87, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Jeanette was born January 31, 1928 in Blooming Prairie Township, Steele County, Minnesota the daughter of Arthur and Lillie (Paulson) Ditlevson. She was a 1945 graduate of Blooming Prairie High School. Jeanette married Clifford Grobner on September 15, 1947 at the Baptist Parsonage in Blooming Prairie. They made their home in Owatonna. Jeanette worked for Federated Insurance for over 37 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Women's Card group at the Elks, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and bowling league. She also enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by her son, Roger (and Janet) Grobner of Owatonna; her daughter, Diane Choukalas of Maple Grove; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Ditlevson of Conger, and Phyllis Kruckeberg of Owatonna; nieces and nephews; and her friend, John.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford, daughter, Mary Dahn, two brothers, Corvin and Arlen Ditlevson, and a sister, Marilyn Clausen.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church Furnace Fund or donor's choice.
