Obituary

Jeanne E. Ditlevson, 56, of Kenyon, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Kenyon Sunset Home. Jeanne was born July 12, 1952 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of Lawrence and Bettie (Johnson) Dugan. Jeanne was raised and attended school in Faribault. She married Eugene LaMotte in Faribault and they continued to make their home before moving to White Bear Lake. They later divorced. Jeanne then moved to Morristown and later back to Faribault. She met Jim Ditlevson while living in Faribault and they moved to Kenyon where she worked for Fold Craft for 32 years. They were married on January 16, 2009. He died on January 27, 2009. Jeanne enjoyed many things especially growing plants and gardening. She enjoyed cooking for large family gatherings, embroidery and listening to blues music. Her and Jim would travel often to listen to blues music at Blues Fest. She also loved spending time at the lake. She is survived by a son, Steven (and Dyana) LaMotte of Owatonna; a daughter, Tammy Akemann of Waterville; three brothers, Dennis (and Joyce) Dugan of Faribault; Donald (and Janis) Dugan of Faribault; Lawrence (and Cheryl) Dugan of Faribault; five sisters, Teresa Wayne of Faribault; Joann (and David) Odette of Faribault; Debra (and Tom) Randgaard of Faribault; Darlene Pumper of Lonsdale; Robin (and Ross) Dugan of Minneapolis; a sister-in-law, Candace Ditlevson of San Carlos, CA; seven grandchildren, Sierra; Julianna, Derrick, Anthony, Nathan, Joey, Maija, two great grandchildren, Faith Marae and Cayden and a godchild, Sarah Dugan. She was preceded in death by her husband James, two brothers-in-law, Bill Wayne, Gerald Pumper and a niece, Beth Odette. Visitation will be at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenyon on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with The Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating.
