Jeanne L. McMann, 82, of Owatonna, died Sunday evening, September 27, 2009 at the Owatonna Hospital. She was born January 12, 1927 in Duluth, the daughter of Harold and Hilda (Sipola) Briggs. Jeanne graduated from high school in Duluth, and married Thomas McMann on September 28, 1946 in Duluth. The couple made their home in Duluth, and then moved to Owatonna in 1963 where Jeanne worked for Federated Insurance Company from 1966 until retiring in 1993. Thomas died April 11, 2006. Jeanne enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family. Two sons survive her, Mike (and Pam) McMann of San Diego; Timothy (and Kathy) McMann of Owatonna; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, and two sisters preceded Jeanne in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday September 30, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Funeral service will be held Thursday October 1, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald D. Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
