He married Cindy Eisert July 28, 1974 and together they had two children, Allyson and Kory. They were later divorced. Jeff drove truck for H&S Distributing before going into business with his father and brother operating the Kath store in Meriden. They later expanded the store selling LP and Big Gain feed. In 1995, they sold the business and Jeff started his sales career at The Retrofit Companies. Jeff spent many of his younger years playing fast pitch softball. He was a pitcher and played first base on a team that won 2 national titles. He enjoyed cutting and splitting wood, gardening, grilling, entertaining and watching the Minnesota Twins. Jeff loved being surrounded by people, especially his 7 grandchildren who received many treats from Papa's freezer. He frequently invited family and friends to come over to spend time in "The Garage" while he would prepare food on the grill, share stories, tell jokes and make sure they were entertained and felt welcomed. He was a hardworking man and a perfectionist with everything he did in life. Jeff loved to give his time to others.
