Jeffrey Jon Racek, 49, of Owatonna, Minnesota, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Owatonna Commons Nursing Rehabilitation, Inc. He was born January 22, 1959 in Owatonna, the son of Ronald and Joann (Granowski) Racek. Jeffrey was a 1979 graduate of Owatonna High School. He then attended and graduated from Austin Vocation Technical Institute with a degree in electronics. Jeffrey was a former employee of Owatonna Heating and Cooling and Concepts and Designs Inc. He was also the former Chief Assistant Engineer at Channel 6. Jeffrey enjoyed playing cards, snowmobiling, and troubleshooting electrical situations throughout his career. Jeffrey is survived by his father, Ronald Racek of Owatonna; brother, Brian Racek of Owatonna; sister, Jody (and Mark) Angelo of Woodbury, a nephew, Jonathan Angelo of Woodbury; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother Joann and his grandparents Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-3 pm with a Memorial Service starting at 3 pm with Father Ed Mountain officiating.
