Jeffrey Scott Steinbronn, 54, of Owatonna, died of natural causes on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at home.
He was born June 5, 1962 in Waterloo, IA the son of William and Karon (Ladage) Steinbronn and spent his early years in northeast Iowa, Minnesota, and Tennessee. He graduated from Owatonna High School and later served in the US Army for two years, stationed at Bamberg, Germany for one year. After his honorable discharge, Jeff returned to Owatonna and worked for 23 years for Lakeside Foods.
Jeff was talented with musical instruments and enjoyed playing them in his early years, as well as practicing the mechanical skills he picked up from his time in the Army. He also enjoyed traveling to Disney World, attending car shows, and flying remote control airplanes. He had fond memories of his time spent in Germany, where his parents joined him in traveling to his grandfather's village.
We remember Jeff for his soft heart, sensitive nature, and the good times.
He is survived by his lifetime partner, Debbie Williams of Owatonna; father, Bill (Paula) Steinbronn of Owatonna; sisters, Kathleen (Joe) Janssen of Vadnias Heights and Janell (Kurt) Gytri of Northfield.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karon Steinbronn.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with interment at Fort Snelling. Memorials may be offered to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Owatonna or to the donor's choice.
