Jeffrey "Jeff" Wertish, age 55, of Ellendale, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 4, 2021 in a tragic car accident. Jeffrey Joseph Wertish was born on October 29, 1966 in Robbinsdale to Joseph and Donna (Grejtak) Wertish. He grew up in Chaska and Victoria and was a 1985 graduate of Waconia High School. On March 8, 1996, he was united in marriage to Kera Heydt at the Mall of America. Jeff worked as a machinist at Entegris in Chaska for 34 years, and recently began working at Savillex in Eden Prairie. He also served on the Hamburg and Carver fire departments for 20 years. Jeff enjoyed hunting with his dogs and friends, camping in the summer, and spending time with family and friends. He was a generous man who was willing to help anyone. Jeff is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kera Wertish of Ellendale; sons, Jared (Natalie) Wertish of Rochester, and Brandon Wertish; mother, Donna Wertish; grandchildren, Matthew and Maddie Wertish; siblings, Sheryl (Neil) Gruenhagen of Cologne, and Corey (Michelle) Wertish of South Dakota; brother-in-law, Adam (Kristine) Mathiasen of Colorado; and many nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Joseph Wertish. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date.
