Jerome Edward Skalicky, 60, of Owatonna, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Owatonna, Minnesota. He was born May 10, 1954 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Joseph and Pauline (Vasicek) Skalicky. He was a 1973 graduate of Owatonna High School, Waseca Technical College, and Evangelism Program with Mercy Street Ministries. He married Laura Magedanz on June, 20, 1981 and were blessed with two daughters, Caroline and Amanda. They later divorced. Jerome worked for Wenger, Federated, Cabela's, and currently Owatonna Peoples Press. He is survived by his daughters, Caroline Skalicky of Faribault and Amanda (Joshua) Erickson of Sauk Rapids; two grandchildren, Aliah and Aden Skalicky; three sisters, Delores (John) Mulcahey of Waseca, Loretta (Michael) Ball of Denver, CO, Nancy (Vern Butch) McGregor of Owatonna; his brother, John Skalicky of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Owatonna with The Reverend Cindy Halvorson officiating.
