Joanne R. Buckwheat, 77, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Owatonna Hospital. She was born April 2, 1931 in Boyne City, Michigan the daughter of Rudolph and Beatrice (Carter) Erber. She worked for Schmelzer Corp. in Durand, MI, and for Corco Inc. of Corunna, MI, and later moved to Owatonna. She enjoyed reading, watching football, basketball, Nascar and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by five children, Joni Eichhorst of Owatonna, Jon Buckwheat of Owatonna, Beth Matherly of Sarasota, FL, Brian Buckwheat of Denver, CO Bruce Buckwheat of Durand, MI. No pubic funeral services will be held.
