Claremont, MN - Joel E. Thomas, age 85, passed away in Claremont, MN on February 24, 2025.

He is survived by his children: Barb (Tim) Streeter of Vassar, MI; Lee (Kathy) Thomas of Tulsa, OK; Nanci (Richard) Emmans of Owatonna, MN; Carolyn (Tim) Foss of Spokane, WA; Kim (Kevin) Schandorf of Mantorville, MN; Terry (Heidi) Thomas of Dodge Center, MN; and Jason Thomas of West Concord, MN. Joel was a grandfather to nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude (Madsen) Thomas, father Lee Thomas, and sisters Lois Hofius and Alice Dale.

Joel graduated from West Concord HS in 1957. He ran the family farm after graduating, worked for Flicek's, and was self-employed for many years. The Thomas Family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Ron Flicek and Bill Giesler for their generous time in helping and caring for Dad.

A viewing to honor Joel's life will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home in West Concord, MN.
