John Brockmiller , 90, of Owatonna, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Owatonna Hospital. John was born May 28, 1917 in Lemond Township, Steele Co., Minnesota the son of Otto and Lena (Gerdes) Brockmiller. He married Darlene Yankowiak on October 16, 1943 in Owatonna. John farmed in Dodge County for many years, until they moved to Owatonna from Claremont in 1969. He worked at OMC until he retired in 1974. John was a member of Our Savior''s Lutheran Church and the Eagles Club. John enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren, hunting, gardening and took great pride in taking care of his yard. John is survived by three sons; Dan (and Linda) Brockmiller of Hayfield, David (and Judy) Brockmiller of Owatonna and Don (and Kim) Brockmiller of Warsaw; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; many Nieces and Nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife in 1976, two brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday May 15 from 12:00 1:30PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30PM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Donor''s Choice.
