John A. Kuhn, 38, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011. John was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was born August 26, 1972 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the son of Roger and Bernadine (Lang) Kuhn. John graduated with the OHS class of 1991 and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in electrical engineering. Continuing his education and teaching was always a passion of John's and he went on to get his Masters in Business from the University of St. Thomas. After college, John started working with his father Roger at RK Electric and later became the owner of the business. He married Kerri Cramlet June 6, 1998 in Northfield and the couple lived in that area before moving to Owatonna in 2000. John enjoyed music: he was a talented drummer, but also enjoyed playing bass guitar in a rock band. He was involved with the contemporary worship service at St. John Lutheran. John chaired the properties board at church, played on the church softball team, enjoyed deer hunting, was a member of the Noontime Rotary Club, and taught electrical code classes at Riverland. He was a passionate advocate for awareness of depression-related illnesses. He is survived by his wife Kerri, and three sons Harrison, Miles, and Otto Kuhn, all at home, his parents Roger and Bernadine Kuhn of Owatonna, sister Brenda (Robert) DeNio of Owatonna, father and mother-in-law Doug and Emily Cramlet of Sartell. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Aunie (Mike Mengel) Cramlet of St. Cloud, brothers-in-law Adam (Becky) Cramlet of Albany, Doug (Missy) Cramlet of Holdingford, four Godchildren Emily and Ben DeNio, Megan and Collin Cramlet, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Elda Kuhn, and maternal grandparents Theodore and Louise Lang. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday July 29, 2011from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the St. John Lutheran projector and screen project or to the donor''s choice.
