Jonna Beth Johnson, 69, of Claremont died Monday, October 22, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. She was born April 2, 1943 in Estherville, IA the daughter of JD and Jeanne (Harrison) Sawyer. Jonna graduated from Claremont High School with the class of 1961, and then married Richard Johnson August 3, 1963 and the couple lived in the Claremont area. Jonna worked at OTC for twenty eight years, and also was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping with her family near Waterville on Lake Tetonka, where she could always be found playing the card game thirty one. She also enjoyed going to Wellton AZ for the winters, fishing, reading, traveling, computer games, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Richard Johnson of Claremont, two daughters, Stephanie (and Tim) Ritter Shalaine (and Jay) Evert both of Owatonna, and son, Steve Johnson of Rochester, seven grandchildren Joshua (and Tara), Ryan, and Matthew Ritter, Hailee and Caleb Johnson, and Jaylin and Joseph Evert. She is also survived by a brother, Jim (and Linda) Sawyer of Northfield, two sisters, Judy (and Rex) Brown and Jan (and Dennis) Louks both of Blooming Prairie. She is also survived by many in laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday October 24, 2012from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday October 25, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with no reviewal. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 25, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Claremont.
