Joseph A. DeCoux, 31, of Faribault, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He was born December 3, 1978 in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Dennis and Janet (Karl) DeCoux. Joe graduated from El Shaddai in 1998, and attended vocational school in Faribault for carpentry. He worked for Malcolm Hall Construction in Owatonna, and later became self-employed and did carpentry work around Southern Minnesota. Joe was a Firearm enthusiast; he also enjoyed hunting, and the outdoors. Joe was a member of Christian Family Church, where he volunteered his time and service. He is survived by mother Janet DeCoux, and father Dennis DeCoux both of Faribault,sister Maryl (Troy) Krejci of Blooming Prairie, brothers, David (Angela) DeCoux of Faribault, Benjamin DeCoux of Minneapolis, Matthew DeCoux, and Lewis DeCoux both of Owatonna. Nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles also survive him. His maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday May 31, 2010 from 4-7 PM and at Christian Family Church on Tuesday June 1, 2010 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. Memorial service will be held Tuesday June 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Christian Family Church with Pastor Tim Peterson officiating.
