Joyce Adele Kriesel, 69, of Lakeville, formerly of St. Cloud, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in Minneapolis. She was born January 11, 1942 in Owatonna the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Brandli) Kriesel. Joyce graduated from Owatonna High School. She worked for Wenger Corp. for 10 years prior to attending St. Cloud State University. She graduated from St. Cloud State with a Business major and Psychology minor. Joyce worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses in St. Cloud until retirement at which time she moved to Apple Valley. While in St. Cloud, Joyce was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was involved in a prayer group and made numerous prayer shawls for her church. Joyce loved flowers. She regularly walked through the St. Cloud flower gardens. She also loved vacationing at Itasca State Park. Joyce kept her family close to her. She kept track of her nieces and nephews and made sure to remember birthdays and other special days in their lives. She is survived by sisters, Jan (and Dan) Crowley of White Bear Lake, Kathrine (and Terry Dakovich) Bringewatt of Eagan, Kathlene (and Bob) Hoffman of Rockford, IL; brother in laws, Herm Clausen, Vern Strusz; nieces and nephews, Carla Nelson, Scott Clausen, Kurt Clausen, Duane Keck, Amy Jirik, Sara Parrish, Steve Strusz, Scott Strusz, Seth Strusz, Stuart Strusz, Chris Kelleher, Jennifer Sheehy, Todd Bringewatt, Tara Lewis. Joyce was preceded in death by her sisters, Joanne Clausen, Jeanne Strusz. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1pm at St. John Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
