Juanita Ellen Chevalier, 88, of Owatonna, died Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault. She was born September 12, 1933 in Glencoe, Minnesota the daughter of William and Goldie (Streich) Witthus. She grew up in Glencoe and Brownton. She graduated from Glencoe High School in 1951. She worked at the Glencoe Clinic followed by attending the Abbott Hospital and Macalester College School of Nursing. She graduated as a nurse in 1955. Juanita married Marvin Chevalier, her high school sweetheart, in 1957. Following Marvin's death in 2010, she continued to be involved with her family, singing with the Golden Tones and other activities. She is survived by sons, Robert Chevalier of Northfield and Mark (Marsha) Chevalier of Plymouth; grandchildren, Alyssa (Andy) Happe, Ryan, Derek and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Goldie Witthus and husband, Marvin Chevalier (2010). A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Private burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
