Juanita O. Padilla, 81, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Cedarview Care Center. Juanita was born February 28, 1931 in Grulla, TX the daughter of Gregorio and Eduvigenes (Lopez) Ochoa. She married Jose Padilla on May 28, 1945 in Donna, TX. They moved to this area in 1947 and started a family together. Juanita was an excellent baker, sewer, and mother. She taught her children about life and Christ. She is survived by her children, Angila (and Criseo) Fruate of Dinuba, CA, Lydia Garza of Owatonna, Adriana Hernandez of Grand Prairie, TX, Maria Hernandez of Freeborn, Paulina (and Christopher) Ramirez of Pettus, TX, Teresa (and Auguestine) Reyna of Plainview, TX, Carolina (and Charlie) Valdez of Owatonna, Elio Padilla of Owatonna, Jessie Padilla of Owatonna, Johnny Padilla of Lubbock, TX, Jose (and Delfa) Padilla of Austin, Roy (and Clara) Padilla of Owatonna, Rosalio (and Natasha) Chavez of Owatonna; sister, Sally Hernandez of Thorndale, TX; 73 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Padilla; three sisters; two brothers; three granddaughter; two grandsons; son-in-law, Daniel Hernandez. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. and at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Reverend Edward McGrath officiating.
