Judy Kay Anderson, 65, of Blooming Prairie, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. She was born October 31, 1951 in Owatonna the daughter of Ray and Marion (Knutson) Anderson. Judy graduated from Owatonna High School. She then worked several years for Farmers Insurance with Dale Bishman before working as a nursing assistant at Cedarview Nursing Home and finishing her career with Truth Hardware. Judy retired from Truth in 2015. During her working years she also worked part-time at The Kitchen and bartending at local bars. Judy loved to mow her lawn and water her flowers. Everything had to look just right on her property. She cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (and Matt Haberman) Anderson of Blooming Prairie; grandsons, Cody (and Samantha) Haberman of Medford, Tristen Haberman of Owatonna; great grandson, Liam Miller and expected 2nd great grandson due in September; sister, Nancy (and Larry) Paul of Medford; brothers, Raymond (and Susan) Anderson of Owatonna, Russ (and Lisa) Anderson of Kasson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bev and life partner, Dennis Maixner. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm and at St. John Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10:30am at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Jacie Richmond officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
