Julene Jo Kaye Bauleke, 77, of Owatonna, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 28, 2018 following a long-term illness. Julene Jo was born June 5, 1940 in Albert Lea, MN the daughter of John A. and Viola A. (Powers) Johnson. She attended public school in Albert Lea and was united in marriage to James R. Bauleke. Julene (Jo) worked as Assistant Manager at Pamida and Secretary of Maintenance at Truth Hardware both in Owatonna, MN. She loved antiquing, gardening, reading and birdwatching. Julene (Jo) is survived by her husband, James R. Bauleke; children, Renae Medina of Grants Pass, OR, Lori (Merlyn) Meyers of Spring Valley, MN, John (Julie) Schewe of Chaska, MN; LeAnn (Paul) Kujath of Owatonna, MN, Darryl Vanlandingham of Wisconsin, Jimmy Bauleke of Waseca, MN; Jerry (Kathy) Bauleke of Waseca, MN; Lisa (Chris) Harris of Janesville, MN and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola; brothers, Orville, Delvin, Warren, Rodger, Norman and Dale Johnson and sisters, Ione Aske, Marvyl Hanson and Wanda Packer and son-in-law, Corey Medina. A visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna from 11AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 1st.
