Julene K. Krause, 61, of Albert Lea, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her residence in Albert Lea, MN. Julene Kay Krause was born on June 30, 1957, at the Owatonna Hospital. She is the daughter of Richard and Doris Krause. She lived at Hope, MN with her parents and brother, James, until she was 20 years old. Later, she became a resident at REM-Woodvale of Albert Lea, MN. She worked at a sheltered workplace there and retired at the age of 55. She was born with cerebral palsy. Julene is survived by her mother, Doris Krause, of New Richland, MN, and her brother James, of Hope, MN. Also surviving are her nieces, Breanna Wheeler, of Northfield, MN, and Dara Bishop, of New Prague, MN. She is also survived by several cousins and their families. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard; grandparents, Louise and Herman Willert, Ervin and Esther Krause; aunt, Arlene Braaten; uncles, Duane Willert and Glen Krause; cousins, Dean and Daniel Willert. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Funeral services will be held December 12, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Lemond Township. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale, Homestead Hospice (Patient Care Fund), REM-Woodvale Home at 1761 Pride Lane Albert Lea, MN 56007.
