Obituary

Justice L. Radtke, 95, of Kenyon died Monday evening, January 30, 2012 at the Kenyon Sunset Home. He was born April 1, 1916 in Nerstrand, Minnesota the son of Charles and Carrie (Lindberg) Radtke. Justice attended school in Nerstrand and then began farming with his father in 1938. He was united in marriage to Irene Lee on June 11, 1941 at Moland Lutheran Church, and the couple farmed together in rural Kenyon. Justice was very proud of his farm and the Holstein Cattle that they raised, slowing down from farming at age sixty eight. Justice enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years along with roller skating and dancing, attending fairs, and he and Irene also enjoyed playing cards. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nerstrand, member of the Nerstrand Creamery Board, and the Rice County Holstein Club. He is survived by his wife Irene Radtke of Kenyon, daughter, Carol (and Paul) Petersmeyer of Prior Lake, son, Curtis (and Peggy) Radtke of Kenyon, five grandchildren Jeff (and Pam) Petersmeyer, Lisa (and Jon) Nordrum, Brian (and Jynnylee) Radtke, Kristin Radtke, and Scott Radtke. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren Logan and Paige Petersmeyer, Taylor, Tanner, and Tori Nordrum, Chase and Benton Radtke, and his brother Loyal Radtke of Wyomissing, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Victor, and sister Ethel. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home 514 3rd Street Kenyon, MN on Sunday February 5, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and at Grace Lutheran Church 305 1st Street, Nerstrand, MN on Monday February 6, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday February 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Duane Everson officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Cemetery in Faribault.
