Katharine Kathy Diane Champion, 55, of Lake City, died Friday, September 8, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea. She was born April 28, 1962 in Fairfield, California the daughter of Russell and Iris (Nelson) Champion. As a child, she moved to Plainview, Minnesota where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1981. She has lived in various places in Minnesota including Plainview, Rochester, Owatonna and most recently Lake City. She is survived by mother, Iris Champion of Owatonna; sons, Perrin Kath of Lee Summit, Missouri and Danric Pascua of Hawaii; siblings, Larry (Letti) Champion of Portland, TX, Shawn (Clayton) Stoppel of Rochester and Rhonda (Eric) Erwin of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by father, Russell Champion and grandparents, Ward and Helen Champion and Lewis and Ida Nelson. Visitation will be at First Lutheran Church in Hope on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Hope with The Reverend Sandy Miller officiating.
