Kathleen M. Rhyner, 62 of Owatonna formerly of Sparta, WI died at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary's Campus in Rochester on Sunday July 19, 2015. Kathleen was born on May 2, 1953 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Vaughn "Bud" and Wilma (Dunn) Harris. She was a Sparta High School graduate and received an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She married Eric Rhyner on January 16, 1976 in Colorado Springs, Co. Kathy and Eric re-settled in Sparta, Wisconsin in 1979 where they raised their three children. In 2010, Eric retired and the Lord blessed them with five wonderful winters at Bibleville in Alamo, Texas where Kathy learned to play the dulcimer. She eagerly shared her many talents with friends and family. Her joyful smile would light up a room and her laughter was contagious. Kathy was a blessing to all who knew her. Kathy and Eric relocated to Owatonna, Minnesota in June of 2015. Her life was dedicated to loving and nurturing her family. On July 19, 2015, her children and loving husband were at her side when she was called home into glory. Her life was a testament of her strong faith and unwavering commitment to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, Eric Rhyner of Owatonna, Minnesota; her three children, Sarah (and Caleb) Sanders of Owatonna, Sam (and Azoleen) Rhyner of Phoenix, AZ,Ben (and Kati) Rhyner of Madison, WI; her eight grandchildren; Cade, Malachi, Silas, Obadiah, Eric, David, Leah, and Sariah; her three sisters, Nikki (John) DuMars of West Salem, WI, Peggy Ewers of Sparta, WI, and Judy (James) Spink of Mosinee, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debra Wissestad. Funeral services will be Thursday July 23, 2015 at 11A.M. at Grace Baptist Church 265 26 th Street Owatonna, MN with Pastors Clyde Ewers and Pastor David Levy officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at Michaelson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. A memorial service for family and friends will be held Saturday July 25, 2015 at Ambassador Baptist Church, Sparta,WI. (The church is located 6 miles East of Sparta on Highway 16). Memorials are preferred to the Ambassador Baptist Church digital sign fund. Michaelson Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.
