Kathryn Ann Francis, age 82, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Traditions of Owatonna II. Kathryn was born February 24, 1933 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Harger) Dusbabek. She was raised near Faribault and attended Faribault High School. She was united in marriage to Norman Francis on February 14, 1953. The couple made their home in Owatonna where Kathryn was a stay at home Mom helping raise their three children. Norman died August 7, 2014. Kathryn enjoyed watching her kids play sports while they were growing up. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching her nephew play football for the Vikings. Kathryn loved children and volunteered her time helping at McKinley Elementary school. Norman and Kathryn enjoyed going to the casinos and after retirement they enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her children Gary (and Delia) Francis of Waseca; Gloria (and Ross) Jacobson of Janesville, WI; Bruce (and Bonnie) Francis of Owatonna; Kathryn also leaves nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren to mourn her passing. Kathryn is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Betty Lindeman of California; Edward (and Peggy) Dusbabek of Faribault; Robert (and Maxine) Dusbabek of Faribault; Carol (and Chuck) Beaupre of Isle; Charles (and Pat) Dusbabek of Pueblo, CO; Shirley Cagle of Faribault; Dennis Dusbabek of Bullhead City, NV; and Richard (and Loretta) Dusbabek of Faribault. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents; and brothers and sister, Ronald Dusbabek; Alfred Dusbabek and Donna Daniels. Visitation for Kathryn will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
