Kathryn Lynn Grovdahl, 64, of Owatonna, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Birchwood Cottages. Kathryn was born May 12, 1954 in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Robert and Pauline (Orso) Grovdahl. She lived a life full of love for her family. Kathryn enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating, and the music of several genres. She also had a fascination of Egyptian culture, and often was researching different Egyptian symbols and hieroglyphics, along with incorporating the Egyptian culture into her decor. Kathryn was always happy to see her family members. There was a special sparkle in her eye whenever she came into contact with a loved one. She is survived by daughters, Sherri-Ann (Randy ) Pickett of Owatonna, and Crystal Grovdahl of Faribault; grandchildren, Todd Doyon, Majesta Pickett, Serenity Pickett, and Emrys Pickett; siblings, Monica Watley, Wendy Wimbush, and Robyn Grovdahl; nephew, James Wimbush; and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Deborah Salonek; brother, Eric Grovdahl; and nephew, Montreal Wimbush. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 2-3pm. A time for memory sharing to honor Kathryn's life will begin at 3pm. Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
