Keith E. Bachman, 92, of West Concord, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Field Crest Care Center, Hayfield. Keith was born November 30, 1919 in Ellington Township, Minnesota the son of Neal and Margaret (Cassady) Bachman. He graduated from West Concord High School. Keith enlisted in the United States Army and served during WWII serving in Japan and Hawaii. After receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to West Concord and started his own trucking company hauling milk and cattle. He was united in marriage to Darlene Miller on September 25, 1949 in Dodge Center. He then owned and operated Phillip''s 66 Station in West Concord. Keith then began a 26 year career with IBM in Rochester retiring in 1982. Keith loved fishing. He also enjoyed hunting and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Darlene Bachman of West Concord; two sons, Larry Bachman of West Concord; Ken (and Sharon) Bachman of Owatonna; two grandsons, Neal Bachman and Nolan (and Breonna) Bachman, and a great granddaughter, Caprice Bachman. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Fay Bachman, a sister, Agnes Lawson and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Bachman. Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord with the Reverend Dave Westlake officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township, Minnesota. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 295, West Concord and Kenyon Veterans Color Guard.
