Keith A. Born, 72, of Ellendale, Minnesota, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Owatonna Hospital. He was born May 3, 1935 in Waseca, Minnesota the son of Arthur and Ethelina (Manthey) Born. He graduated from Concordia Academy in St. Paul in 1953, Keith was a longtime resident of the Ellendale area. He had his own shop in Hope, MN and was a mechanic at Redwing Truck Rental in Owatonna. He retired from McNeilus company in Dodge Center. He married Kathleen Donahue December 16, 1955 in Waseca. He was a forty-five year member of AA. Keith enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events, playing cards, listening to Daniel O'Donnell tapes and doing word puzzles. But, most of all his grandchildren. He was known as grandpa "Baldy" by many. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino, and his cats. Keith is survived his wife Kathy of Ellendale, children Todd of Ellendale, son in law Bob (Chris) Ohnstad of Owatonna, Kevin (Danette) of San Antonio, TX, Bruce (Denise) of Owatonna, Randy of Easton, MD, Brent (Barbara) of Sandberg, Germany, Joel (Dawn) of Owatonna, Julie (Mike) Beenken of Clarks Grove, Neil (Donna) of Morris, ILL. Twenty- seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters Lou Ann Wiebke, and La Jean Berg, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his daughter Beth Ohnstad and one brother- Kenneth. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday February 10 from 4-8 PM, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorial service will be held Monday February 11 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church-Ellendale with the Reverend Arne Halbakken officiating.
