Kenneth Jacobson, 61, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. He was born October 26, 1946 in Redwood Falls the son of Clarence and Ruth (Tordsen) Jacobson. Ken served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1968. He was very proud of those who have served and are presently serving our country in the armed forces. He married Dorothy McCullam Sept. 5, 1970 in Redwood Falls prior to returning to college and graduating from the University of South Dakota, Brookings. Ken worked as an engineer for OMC, OTC, SPX Power Team and Wenger Corporation. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Owatonna; sons, Eric (and Mariette 'Pete') Jacobson of Yakima, WA, John (and Cheri) Jacobson of Owatonna; daughter, Jamie Jacobson of Owatonna; grandchildren, Luke, Kate, Cole and Grey; parents, Clarence and Ruth Jacobson of Redwood Falls; brother, Lloyd (and Liz) Jacobson of Redwood Falls; sisters, Jan (and David) Gronseth of St. Cloud, Jeanne (and Brad) Limoges of Redwood Falls and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was a very devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 17 from 1-3 pm at Michaelson Funeral Home followed by a brief memorial service. Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or to the donor''s choice.
