Kenneth 'Ken' W. Bachman, 57, of Owatonna, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born September 21, 1955 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the son of Keith and Darlene (Miller) Bachman. He grew up in West Concord and graduated from West Concord High School in 1973. He worked part time at the Mobil and Standard service stations during high school. Ken then attended trade school for mechanics in Rochester. He married Sharon Wallager on July 3, 1976 at Dale Lutheran Church and they made their home in Owatonna. Ken worked at Gandy''s in Owatonna, Huntting Elevator in Claremont, where he operated the fertilizer mixer, ground and delivered feed, and dried corn until 1991. In 1995, he worked for Cashwise developing pictures and was Santa Claus until 1997. He retired early due to poor health. He was a member of Muskies Incorporated and the National Fishing Lure Club. He loved fishing and was avid collector of antique fishing lures. He owned Ken''s Custom Tackle and Bubba Tail Lures and enjoyed making and selling custom fishing lures for over twenty years. He also liked to read, especially books on fishing. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bachman of Owatonna; mother, Darlene Bachman of West Concord; brother, Larry Bachman of West Concord; nephews, Nolan (and Breonna) Bachman of Minnetonka and Neal Bachman of Elk River; great niece, Caprice Bachman; uncle, Chuck and Pat Miller of San Jose, CA; and his special Jack Russell, Jackson. He is preceded in death by his father, Keith, and sister-in-law, Kathy Bachman. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township.
