Kristi M. Traver, age 49, of Owatonna died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Kristi Marie (Roskop) Traver was born on January 11, 1968 in Brainerd, Minnesota the daughter of Michael and Myla (Post) Roskop. She attended grade school in Brainerd through the second grade. She then moved to Fairmont where she finished her schooling graduation with the Class of 1986. Kristi lived in Rochester for a few years and has resided in Owatonna since the late 1990's. She worked as a daycare provider until her daughter was 10. She then worked at REM in Fairmont, at St. Mary's in Rochester as a Surgical Tech, at GNC and at REM in Owatonna from 2000-2014. Kristi enjoyed gardening, flowers, the outdoors, hunting, cooking, canning and spending time with friends. She was devoted to her grandchildren. In 2008, she met Jim Lieske and on January 7, 2017 the couple had a Commitment Ceramony. Together they enjoyed traveling to the North Shore, skydiving and scuba diving. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Michael (Kathy) Roskop of Fairmont and Myla Roskop of Northrop; love of her life, Jim Lieske of Owatonna; daughter, Ashley McGregor and fianc�© Michael Rogers of Cannon City; grandchildren, Jacob and Evan; sisters, Michelle (Adel) El Hardouzi of Burbank, CA and Heidi (Robert) Corley of Rochester; brother, Jeffrey (Sarah) Roskop of Chippewa Falls, WI; step-sisters, Michelle Altman of Rochester and Melissa (Tory) Mosloski of Osh Kosh, WI; step-brother, Brian (Jackie) Altman of Chisholm MN and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to all of our precious friends and family for their love and support during this time. You have all had a special place in our hearts! Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 5-8pm and one hour prior to the service on Friday. A Memorial Service will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00am with Rev. Janet Crissinger officiating.
