Larry C. Beers, 61, of Owatonna, died Sunday, August 14, 2011. He was born July 28, 1950 in Carlton, Minnesota and adopted on April 11, 1951 by Arthur and Vera (Priem) Beers. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John''s Lutheran Church. He lived with his parents, grandparents and sister on the family farm, RR2 Owatonna and he attended Country School District #22. The family moved to town and Larry attended Owatonna High School. He then attained his Master Electricians License at Albert Lea Vo Tech. Larry worked for Cedar Lake Electric, Faribault for 15 years, then Truth Hardware in Owatonna, where he recently celebrated his 10 year anniversary. Larry loved his Baron Scooter, rollercoasters, and Steele County Fair. He also enjoyed working on computers and was a great handyman. He is survived by his wife, Jodi Beers of Owatonna; daughters, Randi Jo Beers of Toronto, ON Canada; Bridgette Ray of Rosehill, IA; son, Ben Imker of Minneapolis; mother, Vera Beers of Owatonna; sister, Karen (and Gary) Matson of Big Fork, MN; nieces, Kristen (and Gary) Numedahl, and Nicole (and Cordell) Melgaard all of Owatonna; He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Beers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM . Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Weisenburger officiating.
