Larry D. Larson, 59, of Owatonna, passed away with family and friends at his side Wednesday, June 19, 2014 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Larry was born July 14, 1954 in Pipestone, Minnesota the son of Ludvig and Irene (Sumption) Larson. He was raised in the town of Cazenovia. Larry graduated from Pipestone High School class of 1972 and St. Cloud State with a degree in business marketing in 1977. Larry married Kim Dougherty on June 15, 1973 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Luverne MN. Larry worked for Nike as a manager for over 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Kim Larson, Owatonna; children, Jessica Larson, Rochester, Mat (Christine) Larson, North Branch, Mandi (Earl) Flitsch, New Richland; grandchildren, Melana and Ashlynn; His mother, Irene Larson, Alexandria, sisters, Sharon (Stephen) Huemoller, Brea, CA., Lurene (Steven) Heard, Topeka, KS, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Ludvig and his grandparents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Christopher Leach officiating.
