Larry Wayne Morgan, age 51, of Owatonna, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Homestead Hospice House with his family at his side. Larry strongly and faithfully battled cancer for over 13 years. Larry was born August 12, 1963 in Rochester, Minnesota the son of Jack and Margaret (Hawkins) Morgan. He attended school in Owatonna. After high school, Larry attended Mankato Technical College. He moved to Fairmont where he met Kristina Clayton. The couple was united in marriage on October 16, 1993 in Fairmont. While living in Fairmont Larry worked for the Fairmont Sentinel newspaper and also for a local window company. Kris and Larry returned to Owatonna where he began working for Cybex. He was employed at Cybex for over 21 years and retired due to health reasons in 2013. Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association). He also took road trips along with friends traveling throughout the country. He took yearly trips to Florida. Larry enjoyed camping as well. Church and faith was extremely important to Larry. He was involved with the prison ministry and also on the prayer team and volunteered where ever he was needed. The last couple years Larry's favorite thing was the time spent with his three grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Kristina Kris Morgan of Owatonna; a daughter, Katie Morgan of Owatonna; son, Michael (and Katy) Clayton of Owatonna; three grandchildren, Braxton, Aspen and Emery Clayton all of Owatonna; his father, Jack Morgan of Owatonna; a sister, Lora (and Jeff) Miner of Savage; and two brothers, Charles Morgan of Rochester; Dana DJ (Michelle) Morgan of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Morgan. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Northridge Church with Pastor Mark Perryman officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
