Larry Jerome Wallager, 62, of Kenyon, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Kenyon Sunset Home. He was born October 7, 1946 in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Sanford and Myra (Voxland) Wallager. Larry was raised on the family farm in Cherry Grove Township, and graduated from Kenyon High School in 1964. After high school he spent a brief time in the U.S. Army reserve program. Larry worked various jobs throughout his life. He married Shirley Lundberg in 1973 and the couple later divorced. He enjoyed the Twins, Vikings, watching wildlife, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by father, Sanford Wallager of West Concord, daughter, Jenny Wallager of Northfield, son Jeff (Susan) Wallager of Dodge Center, four grandchildren Emma, Jadyn, Carl, and Soren. He is also survived by a sister, Sharon (Ken) Bachman of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his mother Myra. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Wednesday from 5-7 PM and at Dale Lutheran Church, Kenyon on Thursday from 10-11AM. Funeral service will be held Thursday June 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Dale Lutheran Church, Kenyon with Reverend Michael Lockerby officiating. Interment will be in the Dale Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Dale Lutheran Church or the West Concord Fire and Rescue.
