LaRue Delores Ihrke, 92, of Owatonna, died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Fairview Care Center, Dodge Center. She was born July 8, 1927 in Meriden the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Bohlman) Runge. LaRue attended country school in Meriden. She married Lester Ihrke Oct. 20, 1947 in Owatonna. The couple made their home in Owatonna where LaRue worked as a retail clerk at S&L Department Store and JC Penney. LaRue loved baking. She is survived by her son, Larry (and Bonnie) Ihrke; grandchildren, Amy (and Matei Tarail) Ihrke, Heidi (and Corey Sullivan) Ihrke; great grandson, Maxwell Sullivan; brothers, Arlo Runge, Vernon Runge; sisters, Arlene (and Donald) Ihrke, Virginia (and John) Schultz and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Ihrke; son, David Ihrke; sister, Lorraine Ihrke and an infant brother. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 10am to 11am. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11am at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
