Obituary

Lavon C Renchin, 90, of Owatonna, died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home, Waseca. Lavon was born to Otto and Alida (Jensen) Mork in the big brick house on the Kraay Farm September 9, 1927, in the Merton-Moland area. She attended country school District 49 Steele County and District 51 Rice County. She graduated from Kenyon High School class of 1945. Lavon worked for Dr. Schoen and Jostens in earlier years. On September 8, 1951 Lavon married Harold Renchin at Moland Lutheran Church. She worked along side Harold on the family farm in Havana. Harold passed away November 2007 as a result of a car accident. Lavon continued to stay on the farm where she enjoyed country life, visiting people in nursing homes, keeping family trees, scrapbooks and bird watching. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Claremont. Lavon cherished the time she spent with her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She moved to Lakeshore Inn in September of 2016. Lavon is survived by one son, Dennis of Owatonna; three daughters, Eileen (John) Losee, Sandra (John) Blaha and Connie (Clifford Jr.) Elmore all of Owatonna. Lavon is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Kari Losee (Dmitry Kovalyov) of Fargo, ND, Heather (Jeremy) Farrand-Bogucki of Bemidji, Tara (Ryan) Haasl of Eau Claire, WI, Dillon (Janelle) Blaha of Pierre, SD, Andrew (Heather) Blaha of Owatonna, Alissa (Tyler) Oeltjenbruns of Owatonna, Coralie (Kyle) Peterson of Rushford, Clifford III (Claire) Elmore, Cuyler Elmore, Cayden (Courtney Simon) Elmore, Cameron Elmore, and Ciante Elmore all of Owatonna; 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Harold; 3 sisters, Adeline Mork, Opal Kaiserlik, Marlene Knutson; sister in law, Dolores Renchin and 4 brothers in law, Russ Kaiserlik, Stanley Renchin, Dick Dushek, Wally Knutson. Visitation will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Claremont on Sunday from 1pm to 3pm. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 3pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, Claremont with The Reverend Alan Broadwell officiating.
