LaVonne 'Vonnie' Anderson, 70, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 peacefully at home. She was born April 28, 1938 in Fairmont, Minnesota the daughter of Lloyd and June (Sorg) Plath. LaVonne was a 1956 graduate of Owatonna High School. She married Albert 'Andy' Anderson on November 28, 1959 in Austin, MN. 'Andy' died on May 18, 2006. LaVonne was a homemaker who worked at 'The Thrift Shop', a family owned consignment shop, along with her parents. She was a very giving person who enjoyed helping others with anything and everything. LaVonne was very thorough and detailed when it came to her garage sales. She enjoyed gardening and was famous for her 'beautiful pickles'. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandson Adam. Her recent travels took her to the Black Hills along with her family this last summer. LaVonne is survived by her loving children, Deb Anderson of Green Bay, WI; Steve 'Andy' Anderson of Cannon Falls; mother, June Plath of Owatonna; special grandson, Adam of Green Bay, WI; sister, Bev Fuller of Owatonna; brothers, Dennis Plath of Tyler, TX and Roger Plath of Owatonna; aunts, Margaret Albin, Jean Alne, Retha Farrell; uncle, Lowell Sorg; along with many nieces and nephews.
