LaVonne I. Avery, 89, formerly of West Concord, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. She was born June 10, 1919 in Kenyon the daughter of Olie and Ida (Skilbred) Pederson. LaVonne graduated from Kenyon High School. She married Lloyd Avery Sept. 29, 1939 in Truman and the couple lived in the West Concord area. LaVonne is a member of Concord Church of Christ. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She is survived by sons, Charles (and Constance) Avery of Clarks Grove, Paul (and Julia) Avery of Monterey, LA, Mark (and Vicky) Avery of West Concord, James (and Linda) Avery of Owatonna; daughters, Karen (and Larry) Lehmberg of West Concord, Kathleen Morgan of West Concord, Joan Lowery of Rochester; grandchildren, Leland (and Christine) Avery, Kevin Avery, Jodee (and Daniel) Lestrud, Renae (and Bob) Meaney, Paul (and Sandy) Avery, Brandon (and Ashley) Avery, Matthew Avery, Heidi (and Tony) Mueller, Heather (and Michael) Overson, Mark (and Jamie) Avery, Nathan Avery, LaDena (and Jason) Wetzstein, Donavan (and Kari) Avery, Natasha (and James) Miller, David (and Trisha) Morgan, Maria (and Jesse) Erickson, Ransom Dane Lowery; 29 great grandchildren; brother, Rolland Pederson of Waterloo, IA and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter and one grandson, 3 brothers, 1 sister. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Sunday from 5-8pm and at Concord Church of Christ on Monday from 1-2pm. Funeral services will be held April 13, 2009 at 2:00pm at Concord Church of Christ with The Reverend Tim Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery.
