Lavonne June Zelinske, 87, of West Concord, died Wednesday, November 5 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Lavonne Zelinske was born October 15, 1927, in Rock Dell, Minnesota, daughter of Edwin and Cora (Moen) Jensen. She attended rural school near Rock Dell. She married Lyal Zelinske July 20, 1952 at West St. Olaf Church. She helped her husband Lyal on the farm and worked for the Kenyon Canning Company but her most important job was the family babysitter. She enjoyed going to the casino, baking and cooking. She never forgot a birthday and was a grandma to everyone. Lavonne is survived by her children Lonnie (Judy) Zelinske, Lorrie Zelinske, LaMonica (Perry) Wendt; her grandchildren, Lisa (T Jay) Kleeberger, Levi (Kelly) Zelinske, Jessica (Travis) Wuiff, Andy ( Allison) Schley, Shana (Kevin) Huss, Adam Schley, Austin Wendt; 7 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyal Zelinske, daughter LaJanie Zelinske and her grandson Ben Zelinske. Visitation will be held Friday November 7, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Michaelson Funeral Home in West Concord. No service is planned at this time.
