Lawrence P. "Larry" Schroer Jr., 61, of Glenville, MN, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Woodburn, IN. Larry was born on June 5, 1957 to Larry and Margie (Stoltman) Schroer, Sr. in Austin. The family then moved from Waltham to Owatonna in 1960. He graduated from Marian High School in Owatonna. Larry enjoyed playing guitar in the church combo during his high school years. After graduation, Larry started his career at OTC. He enjoyed over-the-road driving and did it for most of his 25 years with them. He continued driving with different companies until his death. Ironically, he passed away during the night in his truck. Larry met Tracy Wilker driving for the same trucking company. They married on July 22, 2006. The two resided in Glenville, MN. Larry had a strong work ethic and always enjoyed helping his family. He is survived by his wife Tracy Schroer; sons, Ryan (Richelle) Schroer of Apple Valley, Brandon (Tracy) Schroer of Owatonna; stepdaughter, Nicole (Daniel) Shaw of Burnsville; grandchildren, Aiden and Maximus Schroer, Lily Jean Schroer, and Mackenzie and Parker Shaw; brother, Roger (Patti ) Schroer; sisters, Kathy (James) Pantier and Mary Jo Pramann; mother-in-law, Barbara Wilker of Glenville; sister-in-law Kim Wilker (Kim Baldwin); and many other friends and family members. He will be tremendously missed by his best buddy, his four legged pal, Pappy. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patti Frechette and Sandra Schroer; great niece, Angel Varner; father-in-law, Wesley E. Wilker; and brothers-in-law, Moses Frechette, Leroy Pramann, and Charles W. Wilker. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Michaelson Funeral Home at 2pm with Pastor Jim Avery officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
