Leo Edward Coyour, 83, of Medford, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Naples, FL.
He was born July 2, 1931 in Minneapolis the son of Earl and Hilda (Anderson) Coyour. He was raised in Minneapolis, attended Roosevelt High School and then was drafted into the US Army in 1952 where he served 2 years in Germany. On May 22, 1954 he married Beverly Olson in Stanchfield. He worked construction until 1960 when they purchased the Oak Hill Rest Home in Owatonna. In 1963, Leo and Bev along with their sister and brother-in-law Marge and Bob Forbes, purchased the Owatonna Nursing Home which they owned and operated for 14 years. Leo and Bev also later purchased 2 motels, the Friendly Host Bloomington and the Friendly Host Lakeville.
Leo had a real zest for life. He loved his family with a passion; he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren; waterskiing, tubing, building sandcastles, going to Disney World and family gatherings. He was proud of his country. He faithfully served at Bethel Church 55 years doing visitations and praying with many. He often said how much he loved people and his greatest desire would be for everyone to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Prov. 3:5-6.
He is survived by his wife, Bev; children, Bonnie (Kerry) Webster of Owatonna, Wes (Dawn) Coyour of Faribault, Cindy (Todd) Boeddeker of Owatonna; grandchildren, Eric (Jennifer) Webster, Shawn (Jenny) Webster, Nick (Teisha) Coyour, Ben (Michelle) Coyour, Andrew (Larisa) Boeddeker, Curtis (fianc�© Nikki) Boeddeker, Mark (friend Cara) Bobadilla, Erik (Katie) Bobadilla, Jaime Bobadilla; great grandchildren, Abbie and Joe Webster, Breanna and Megan Webster, Hayli and Kairi Coyour, Joshua, Levi, Grace, Isaiah and Ezra Coyour, Quinton and Arla Bobadilla, Kyan Gomez and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Sadie; sister, Marge Forbes; brother-in-law, Bob Forbes; sister-in-law, Marge Olson
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday from 5pm to 8pm and at Bethel Church on Saturday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Casual dress is requested for the funeral services which will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:30am at Bethel Church with The Reverend Steve Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the ministry of Remember the Love of the Family, Bethel Missions Outreach or to the donors choice.
