Leona A. Minske, 96, of rural Waseca, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Koda Living Community in Owatonna, Minnesota. She was born August 17, 1918 in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, Minnesota the daughter of Martin and Louise (Gehrke) Wolfe. Leona was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morristown, Minnesota. She married Harold Minske on June 2, 1938 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. They made their home in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca where they farmed for many years. Leona helped with the farm and also enjoyed her flowers, sewing and dancing. She is survived by her husband of 77 years, Harold Minske of Waseca; her daughter, Sandra (Larry) Spinler of Morristown; three grandchildren, Brad (Tracie) Spinler of Morristown, Katherine Tiedeman of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Julie (Darren) Hanusa of Neenah, WI; six great grandchildren, Grant and Ethan Gasner, Addison Hanusa, Kristin (Justin) Krell, Alex and Mikayla Spinler. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Marissa Spinler, her sister, Luella Messal, and four brothers, Harold, Alvin, Harvey and Lawrence Wolfe. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
