Leroy G. Johnson, 88, of Owatonna, passed away on March 9, 2008, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Born on Sept. 2, 1919, in Minneapolis, Leroy was a devoted husband, father, papa, friend, and naval veteran of WWII. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Johnson, and his second wife, Marie Sette, and by his brothers William and Robert. He is survived by his four children, Sue (and Carl) Bergman of Nebraska City, Neb.; Jan (and Barry) Gisslen of West Des Moines, Iowa; Jeff (and Kathy) Johnson of Maplewood; and Pete (and Rosemary) Johnson of Owatonna; and by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at St. John Lutheran Church, 1301 Lincoln Ave. Memorials preferred to Senior Place, 540 West Hills Circle, Owatonna or to the donor''s choice.
